How many times has the cord on your phone kept you from doing what you want? Years ago, I was visiting my brother-in-law Rick at his office. He had a portable headset for his phone. I was fascinated by it, and as a “gadget type,” I had to buy one. Back then, they were hard to find, so I ordered it online. Now every office supply stocks them. Why was it helpful? No sore neck. Also, I could walk to the car when the customer had a question about tires, exhaust or anything that a quick look would help explain. For those who you who have bays, you know that most customers think about their needs after they drop off the car. I could even talk on the phone while changing oil. What a time-saver. The one I use fits any phone, multi-line or single-line. It worked equally well in the shop and the parking lot outside. I stopped guessing and making things up, got more done and had the freedom I was always looking for. A good wireless headset is worth the few hundred bucks it will cost you, and it uses nickel-metal-hydride batteries just like my Honda Insight. I bought one for the office manager, and now we can’t work without them. | ||
