SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California Autobody Association has formed a new committee called the Collision Rights For Consumers Committee that will work closely with consumer groups to address some of the common issues that are affecting both the collision shops and the rights of the consumer. The CAA has been active with consumer groups in the past and has utilized them to either support or oppose various legislation that involves the consumer and the collision industry.

“This committee will be able to streamline the communication between the CAA and the designated consumer groups that have a vested interest in seeing the rights of the consumer enforced,” says David McClune, CAA Executive Director. “The CAA will be working hard to continue educating the consumer with the help of these designated consumer groups.”

In addition, this committee will be involved in projects to better inform the consumer and gather information to assist our on-going consumer education programs.
