With just the pull of a trigger, body shop repair specialists can eliminate the need for masking, mixing and spraying with the new Squeegee Prime Cartridge – the latest primer from Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Corp. (SWAFC). This direct-to-metal spreadable primer applies like body filler or glazing putty and is perfect for small repair applications such as pinholes, key scratches, nicks, stone chips and other small automotive body restorations.
Squeegee Prime is packed in a dual-chambered cartridge that fits into a manually-operated primer dispensing gun. When the trigger is pulled, the primer flows through a static mixing tip attached to the end of the cartridge creating a clean, even distribution of primer that can be applied directly to a vehicle, mixing board, rubber squeegee or plastic spreader.
“Squeegee Prime uses the latest in primer technology to ensure the best bare metal adhesion, corrosion protection and filling properties,” said Nick Bartoszek, Product Manager – VR Marketing, SWAFC. “Now it is even easier to apply with the Squeegee Prime Cartridge. This innovative application method ensures body shops can save time and resources during the repair process.”
Because Squeegee Prime doesn’t require spraying or a designated spray area, it’s portable and can be used anywhere. In addition it is ISO-free, contains no lead or chromates and has excellent gloss holdout and sanding characteristics. For a complete finish, the Squeegee Prime Cartridge works in conjunction with SWAFC’s ULTRA SYSTEM sealer and topcoats.
Squeegee Prime can be used in all collision and fleet markets nationwide.
